Empty Log File

Submitted by rehanazher on Mon, 2011-10-31 04:12.Troubleshooting

Hi,
I successfully deployed dbsight4 on tomacat running locally and created few indexes successfully as well used the same indexes in my application as well.
Now i am trying to following same configuration on my deployment server with JBOSS but when i try to create index it just says " Empty Log File " and got stuck there.
I read in one post that this may be due to large dataset , but for my local deployment datasource was and I did not face any problem.
Can anyone put some pointers how to solve this problem.
Thanks

Did you manually expand the war file?

JBOSS or other application servers may automatically expand the war file. But it's not always reliable.

Hi Will,

I tried manual expand method as well , it gets struck on Empty Log File.

I also tried to deploy using Tomcat with manual expand but same result.

Any other pointers please.

Please find rolling.log file. The location of the file is where you start the JVM. It should have some hints.

Also, please make sure WEB-INF/data folder has writable permissions.

If you found rolling.log file or have something under WEB-INF/data/log directory, you can send them over to dbsight at gmail dot com. We will take a look.
