Issues deploying dbsight on Linux

Hello All,
Does anyone have dbsight running successfully on linux under tomcat?
It works fine on windows, on linux however all the pages spit out garbage characters. In itself, the app appears to deploy normally.
The tomcat uri encoding is set to utf-8 on both windows and linux.

adjust your LANG setting

Usually for Tomcat, adding URIEncoding="UTF-8" to the Connector in server.xml should be enough.

Probably you also need to adjust LANG setting on your linux. Here is my LANG setting.

$ echo $LANG

en_US.utf8

LANG was set to en_US.UTF-8,
updated it to en_US.utf8.. still same thing.
(the connector already had the utf8 encoding)..

Do you have any other suggestions?

JDK version?

I can not reproduce your problem and run out of clues.

Maybe check JDK version? I hope you are using the official Java version, instead of some default java installation on Linux.
