Using DBSight templates in a Frames environment

Submitted by Julie Green on Wed, 2005-07-13 03:13.Troubleshooting

My website uses framesets. As such, the templates for NarrowBy, SortBy and Pagination give me an error when I click on the links on the page. This, I believe, is because the template retreives the URL query string and uses it. The problem being that in a frames setting the url that appears to get returned is the main frameset url, not the url of the page in the frame that is active. To get around this I ended up setting the $queryString variable manually, and using it instead of the $noStartQueryString variable.

Here's a copy of my NarrowBy.vm:

#if($filterIndexName == $indexName )
#set($queryString = "indexName=$indexName&templateName=$templateName&q=$URLEncodedQuery&sortBy=conceptstatus&desc=N")
#foreach( $columnCount in $filterColumnCounts)
#set($columnIndex = $velocityCount - 1 )
#set($c = $dc.filterableColumns.get($columnIndex))
#set($_isSelfFiltered = $filteredColumns.indexOf($c.columnName.toLowerCase())>=0 )
#set($_isParentFiltered = $c.filterParentColumnName && $filteredColumns.indexOf($c.filterParentColumnName.toLowerCase())>=0 )
#if($columnCount.size()>0 && (!$_isSelfFiltered && (!$c.filterParentColumnName || $_isParentFiltered) ) )

Narrow By#if($c.displayName) ${c.displayName}#else ${c.columnName}#end

#foreach( $cCount in $columnCount)
#if( $velocityCount < 17 )
#set($doubleQuote= '"')
#set($t1=$httpUtil.appendQuery($queryString, 'q', "$c.columnName:${doubleQuote}$!{cCount.columnValue}${doubleQuote}"))
#set($t2=$httpUtil.addOrSetQuery($t1, 'start', null))
+ ${cCount.columnValue}(${cCount.value})

Problem with build 1.08

Looks like there's a problem with the Advanced Settings in the Datasource tab. When I navigate to that page and try to save a change (I was initially trying to set the Fetch List size) I get:

HTTP Status 500 -

java Out of Memory Error

Submitted by Julie Green on Wed, 2005-07-06 08:30.Troubleshooting

I need some advice. I am getting a java OutOfMemory error when I try to create an index. I've successfully completed one index, and this index should actually be smaller than the first one.

My Specs:

OS Windows Server 2003
DB: MySQL 4.1
Physical memory: 1GB
Page File size (initial 1.5GB, max 3GB)

I've allocated 512MB initial memory and 512MB max memory to Java in the TomCat Configuration tool.
MySQL has about 200MB memory allocated for it.
I beleive the system has 256MB allocated.

Any suggestions? Let me know if you need other info.

Thanks!
